Cleaning Your Hot Tub
June 30, 2017
Cleaning your hot tub doesn’t have to be difficult, but it does take some time and a little know-how.
We’ve put together a few tips on how to make cleaning your hot tub as easy as possible — and get you back to relaxing in no time.
Quick tips for cleaning your hot tub
Check that the water is completely drained out of the tub. This will help with the cleansing process.
Wipe the inside of the hot tub with a mild liquid detergent or vinegar to clean and remove any debris from the walls and floor. Never use harsh chemicals to clean your hot tub because they can damage the acrylic.
Ensure that your thermostat is set to the lowest temperature and refill your hot tub with water.
Turn it on
Turn on jets and pump and ensure they are working properly. If you notice any strange noises, don’t wait! Contact your hot tub dealer right away.
Turn it up
If the equipment sounds like it’s working properly, then it’s time to turn your thermostat up to the desired temperature.
Treat the water
Add the appropriate start-up chemicals prescribed by your Owner’s Manual. Balance the alkalinity and pH using the appropriate chemicals as quickly as possible to keep water clean (and get you back to soaking)!
Finally, once you have drained, wiped refilled and treated your hot tub, it’s time to kick back and relax in your freshly cleaned tub!
